is the transmission tunnel the same on a manual sierra as a automatic sierra? as in, can you put a manual box in a auto shell?

A manual will fit an auto no problem, but the A4LD used in the auto was quite bulky, I am 99% sure they had a bigger tunnel on auto's.

depends on the year of the shell

earliler ones were smaller, then you had the 4wd and 2wd variants, then later on most were of the 4wd variety and then youhave the later auto's with the starters on the other side of the ngine for some reason so there amy be differences there as well

ok cheers lads, so the auto tunnels have the correct clearances for a manual gearstick to come up through!
