I am looking new tachometer for my 3dr cossie, cause my old one is broken, and i dont think i can fix it. i will solder out electric components, and test them, but i dont believe it will help. does anyone know where i could buy one.

 

hectori, the Tach's are the same as the merkur's here in the US.
That is a common failure, they have to be resoldered like you said.
Check all the contacts.

 

i have tryied to resolder the connections, but it didn`t work. i must now take components off the circuit board, and test them if they are broken.

and XR4ti merkur tachometer have red area on 6-7000 rpm, and 3dr cossie dont have red area at all. otherwise its the same

 

Just hunt around for a second hand one, thats what i did, ebays a good start

 

well, maybe i must try to find one on ebay, if i cant fix my old one. i just dont want to buy a used one from the ebay, that might be soon broken too.
