Our friend Mark bought this 3door ,went up there on sunday put a deposit on it and had it trailored back yesterday ,he bought the plate with the car ,it has loads of history and last year only did 12 miles ,it had a few dents around it but we took it up to see our mate who is a paintless dent removal guy and he went over the whole car ,only leaving a couple ,but these will be dealt with over winter ,already removed the stickers ,will have new plates made up and the grille is going black ,popping over there soon to detail the paintwork and paint the calipers black ,oh and the dump valves coming off This is his second ford he also owns a crayford cortina that was used in the press adverts when new

Yes mate seller phoned my mate on sunday to say the person in front of him had phoned and backed out so he drove straight up and put a 2k deposit on it

It,s along story, i did buy it so to speak, left a deposit etc on an agreed price without the Private plate, then 2 days later i had a phone call asking for another grand cus the guy said he contacted DVLA about a plate change and it was going to cost him TOO MUCH money to change, hence the car would be sold with the plate, hence costing me an Extra grand for a plate that means nothing to me, i wasn,t happy at all.....

Edited to say, i even took pics of the car when i was viewing after i,d left a deposit....Grrrrrrr

Rab, i work on MORALS mate and it wasn,t right to up the price after i,d left a deposit, i,d rather take my money back, you know it,s not about money with me mate with the cars i,ve had, i wasn,t prepared to pay 1k for a plate like that AND to have it bumped up on our original deal was shocking imo...

Anyway, only bad cossie history from me was that fooking saff........

thats a fair enough reason pete, but it costs Ł80 to transfer and Ł110 to put them on retention i think, so why the owner didnt do that is beyond me, IMO that plate could sell for more than a grand anyway

Had he lined up another buyer who was offering more money.........

yes bought the plate with the car ,but having new standard ones made up

 

Sorry just noticed you did put that at the top ! Must be worth a bob or two on its own i would have thought.

 

Few changes have been made already
Lost the dump valve,and fitted chrome strut tops

Fitted 500 grilles and new number plates (need some plate screw caps )


Also tried in some rear lights i have just done as i wanted a piccy

 

very nice looks very clean i want another 3 door1 day i will buy another one

 

Looks loads better with the new mods
