Default Release bearing

When i started my car the earlier i noticed that there is a small noise coming from the gearbox area. When i dip the clutch the noise goes away. This happens when the car is stationary and in neutral. Could this be the release bearing?

I've just put a brand new bearing in mine and had the box rebuilt by CTS and mine does this. Wondering if something is loose.

yeah it is relaese bearing noise i am a mechanic by trade and on an everyday car you would replace the release bearing to get rid of the noise but on fords it just seems to be there even tho everything is new, so in other words it'll be reeeet!

if noise goes when you press the clutch its the gearbox if its noisey when you press the clutch its the release bearing as it is then under load and will only make a noise then

as studabear sais, if its making noise in neutrel idling with clutch up, its most likely the mainshaft bearings in the box.

clutch pressed, and noise is the release bearing!

Botters, thank fook u dont fix my car
