ronnie, you can space them out from the shell with offset bearing spacers, to stop the annoying catching on the inner arch.

also same as anything with rose jointing over bushing, just aids a more precision and accurate supension.

Yes, but what i mean is how do you fit the spring cups to them? Do you have to pry them apart? I unscrewed the spring seat off the bottom of mine to change the springs.

 

the top hats have a slit in them which goes over the shock shaft. So you can change then quickly.

 

Perhaps he also means Are you supplying the rest of the kit , the spring Top cap you described as the top hat , the circlip that locates the top cap etc.. Or just the top mount that takes the spherical bearing
