i know fuckall about evo's, but to me thats like for example a ESCORT RS TURBO. 2k or under will be ok BUT PROB BATTERED, 3K + YOU ARE LOOKING AT HALF DESCENT MAYBE MINT?????????
i sold a mint 1998 evo 5 for 6k a month or two back fully serviced mot'd cusco and hks bits all over it etc. theyre out there mate. yeh theres a few dogs tooo but a bargain can be had!
Was in the same boat a couple of months ago and bought a late 54 plate Nissan 350Z GT (UK one), good mileage, fully specced, reliable, good on juice, looks the nuts, all for that money!! Only downer is its a 2 seater!!
My only concern with the evo6 would be fixing it LOL. I reckon everything would be so hard to do. I bet every part is well expensive to. I don't know anything about evo's tbh but that's what I could imagine. Any1 owned a evo6 on here that could answer them questions

Haven't had an Evo but my neighbour who's also a close friend ran one for about 2-3 years and only ever had a knackered actuator. Was running cat-back, decat, HKS induction and HKS SSQV and Apexi Turbo Timer. Was very reliable.
I have a focus RS i bought for everyday and its the bollocks. It looks good, sounds good, it's fast, awesome to drive, easy in traffic. Returns 22-25 mpg and just did a bit more on a mixed motorway run and town driving. It's comfortable on the daily journeies yet if you go for a weekend blast say its fantastic out on a B road
focus rs, totally mint standard saff 4x4, or a standard high-ish mileage small turbo escos.......... prob go with the focus rs out of the three for "reliable" everyday running though, being a bit more modern
For 10k, I'd be all over a Focus RS if you wanted something thats a laugh to take out for a blast without costing a lot on the daily punt, which IMO, an Evo or Impreza will do when pottering around town or back and forth to work... if I wanted something a wee bit more grown up then something like an E39 M5, 350z, Audi S4, Audi S3, 330i Coupe, etc

The e36 m3 is nice. Anyone ever owned one. I get mixed opions about it. Some people say they are not that fast. I don't mean top end. I mean on acceleration
