3dr,its the better looker and more sought after as said above, but if you can only buy a half decent 3 dr i would go for the well specced saff as you will get more go for your ŁŁŁŁŁ
a sapphire is the first cosworth you would normaly get then a 3 door or escort cosworth have you owned any other model than a sapphire

the guys with sapphire's all say sapphiresa sapphire will not go up in price as much as a 3 door although they will go up slowly an escos will hold its value or go upand i have had all the cosworth models sapphire 2wd,4x4,3 door, escos st and now bt lets put it this way i would have another 3 door before i had an sapphire but thats my oppinionnot being a dick to all the sapphire owners as i said i have owned and currently drive a 4x4 sapphire cosworth but i would rather drive (sold now )my 3 door but i still love sapphire's as its still a cossie

3 door if your not using it much. I think they look better.
Saph if your using it frequently. Just couldnt see myself nipping into the town and leaving a 3 door in the car park, though i could leave a saph. A 3 door would last about 5 mins before being nicked.
I broke my sapph to build a 3dr, wanted one for years and in the best colour moonstone. Was the best move i ever made, they look awsome and have a presence like no other cosworth. Might get a few disagreements with that last coment!
agree with the 3 dr,but i wouldnt sell my saff,im more of a fan of its subtle looks and you cant beat a pic of a squatting saff,or a sideways 3dr,just depends which you like the look of more,3dr will always get attention and sometimes the wrong sort,a lot of people not clued up on cossies dont know a saff when they see 1.
Personally I'd rather have the low-key approach of the Sapphire rather than the 3-door.
I like the fact that people don't always id the 4-door as a Cosworth - my neighbour did ask why I had a cosworth badge on my Sierra! Everyone knows what the 3-door is.
As standard the 4-door is less 'nervous' on bumpy roads as well
Seems to be more choice if you need second-hand bits as you can plunder the reserves of 4wd versions that were made for stuff like doors and trim etc
I'd say saph,
3drs look better and will prob hold more value but imo i think it would get to the point where you would be scared to take it some places or park it etc

Im already at that "point" mate and im guessing most 3 door owners are lol
.....But I'd have it over a Sapphire ANY day of the week!!
