Default Any one know these cossies??

HI First post, thinking on getting a Escort Cosworth, had the Impreza & EVO and M3, but now really fancy a Escort Cosworth.

Have seen these 3 for sale and was wondering if anyone knew anything about them??

The first one is a guy off www.escortrscoworth.com

the second one seems a lil cheap for the mileage, hmmm.

the third one, just be careful if buying a uncared for example.

i contacted the guy about the red one , then when i wanted to carry out a inspection by a speciaist company , as it would have to go through a inspection to get J plates he never got back to me .......

https://passionford.com/forum/genera...e-on-ebay.html

got told it should have been a Q plate ,as it wasnt rebuilt with brandnew parts , and something that it should be on the year of the sheel not the car it used to be in , and that it`s not a motorsport shell with a sunroof

hi boys im the owner of the red escort cosworth thats for sale im i bit disapointed, ive owned this car for the last 4 years and had an accident in it the first 6 months , i have a friend in the insurance trade and he said that i would be writen off and valued at £6500 because of the age.( we all know what these cars are worth ) i paid £19500 for it as it was mint and had only 25000 miles on it, i just didnt see the justice in , letting the insurance company take my cossie away so i decided to do a complete rebuild on her with a new shell.
well it was a very hard job trying to find a straight, registerd genuine escort rs cosworth shell with a log book. (most of the are missing there ids ) but i found one and had it resprayed and over the last 3 years ive been rebuilding her with new parts where needed, ive spent a fortune on this car with receipts to prove. (i could have bought a shell with no id but i would have had to took it to the dvla and they would have issued it with a q plate because the shell had no id advice from the police before i bought a shell. this car is perfectly genuine escort cosworth ok the smashed one was a n reg small turbo and the shell i transplanted everything into was a big turbo but i wasnt botherd as i was never intending on selling her hence how she looks so good (ive spent alot of time on her and if it wasnt for my exsension costing the earth and not able to get a loan at this time ive having to sell my pride and joy). as for the doors have you tried getting mk5 doors with out tin worm so i got mk 6 ones they line up perfectly, only difference is rounder door handles and the door cards. (the door cards can be swapped over very easyly and if anyone coming to look ill even show them how easy it is by taking one off and putting mk 5 one on. ive had alot of emails phone calls asking whats wrong with her and not one person coming to see it, to be honest getting a bit sick of it now becaused anyone seeing her will understand how much money, time and effort ive given this cossie to get it back on the road . any one wanting an inspection please feel free to do so. i hope this clears things up i just dont want my car getting a bad write up without anybody coming to see her.

you should prob just put on the mk5 doorcards if its such an issue with people. it doesnt really matter that you prefer the mk6 ones anymore if its for sale.
i wouldnt even humiliate someone by giving them a doorcard changing lesson either. if they need that to try and convince them to buy, they never were going to buy the car anyway and they shouldnt be let near a car.

nice car, good luck with the sale

maybe putting the above in the advert would help and stop people thinking you have something to hide?
