thanks to stu / will at msd .my 3 door went up for its yearly check and they found that it was only boosting at 27 psi a new actuator and a set up and it is now up to full power 37 psi well over 500 bhp. it is still one of the quickest 3 doors in the country it will frighten you d33 ouk

I know this car, richies old car from Plymouth way IIRC, it is a cracking car.....

I was going to buy this BUT couldn,t sell my saff intime.....

 

Thats the one , but much cleaner than when i got it , did a deal with my dads 3door that he had owned for 13years. It was mental when we had it, but with the new actuator and check over and set up at MSD ,its fooking crazy ,

Yeah, it has a big t4 on it. IT was in fastford september 07 mag,has all the spec on there, its on the show us your 3door thead d330uk, il try and get some new pic's up of it.Als, lc,4x4 touring spec head 16&14 cams,new 200 long stud block,t4marin shaft, 4 1000cc siemins,live map msd,gleab box,close loop fueling,oil cooler, massive intercooler,etc.The engine was built by cossedave(DP MOTORSPORT) on here from bristol , its a sweet strong engine, stu&will at msd said it was a well built engine. its around 530bhp but i think its more!!!!

the 3 door was shit eye when you got it because it was pissin down with rain and had been trailered from Plymouth to Wales plus Rich believes in driving them not just being a buffty

well mate when i had the car the clutch was shagged and it was shagged when he had the car so he could not have driven the car to its full potential. he only did about 600 mile in the car he also forget to tell me about the clutch .anyway i dont want to slag the guy off .the car is now running at full power .i had a blast off a roundabout with a new ferrari 430 spyder in second gear i gave him the outside lane i half expected him to come past me with all his electronic aids i was hiting 100 in second at 8k 135 in 3gear it was a great buzz to see him falling back i slowed down and let him pass he had a very red face beaten by a d reg old ford sierra if anyone thinks my car is one of the quickest race the 43o your self they do 0-60 in 4 sec road test adrian

I never realised that Cossies were as mental geared as that... I'm sure the ones I've been out in haven't hit those kind of figures in the gears you mention.

hi grant the reasons its hitting these figures its running a glebe straight cut big tooth box stu at msd seems to think its a rolling start race box hence the very long gearing .its a bastard in traffic to drive with 16- 14 cams and a t4 mar- am shaft.its like starting off between 2 - 3 gear when the car is running its fantastic the box comes into its own i hope that explains things grant cheers adrian

 

As for the clutch i have no idea the last time i went in it i remember blitzing a gt3 with no trouble at all from the clutch i do remember driving the supposed stage 3 3 door in the deal which really wasn't but hay ho whats done and all this car is a awsome bit of kit and unless you have been in it or against it you really would have no idea take care m8 see you at combe i take it you will be there?

 

As my old man has said above the gearbox gives these figures.To the people who DON'T believe the cars power & figures take a look at fastford september 07!!!!_____theres a shit load of money been put in to this car to make it a true 500+ & unless you have been in it or come up against it hold on to your opinion's.

 

Yup, sure does... sounds like the car's been done properly, not just a big engine to get some pub talk bhp figres.

Theoretically, what sort of top speed would that box be capable of??

Hi grant this box will max out about 175mph, but gets there very very quick.But stu at MSD said that a normal t5 box would do 190+, but i would not like to find out!

 

Haha, I'm sure your heart rate might go up a little when you hit a genuine 175mph in a Cossie!!

hi grant this is the old man adrian not my son rich when i took the car to msd for a set up i spoke to stu about the top speed with the glebe gearbox he said on the live map they could not test the top speed although the fast ford feature said it started to tail of at 175 .in todays world grant you can get jailed for over 150 i think its better for mid range power.i am now thinking of having a new uprated rear beam for safety sake which shows are you going to this year we can meet up and have a chat cheers adrian

hi mate thanks for your pm i think there is a bit of confusion. on my thread i said it was one of the quickest in the country which is what stu said when i took it to msd for its yearly set up .i think stu meant in the 500- 6oo bhp 3 doors. there is bound to be quicker 3 doors than mine in the country .my car is a road car with original trim .it is still rear wheel drive and can be a handfull .thanks for your coments about the car are you going to any shows this year if so we will meet up for a chat .cheers adrian
