Default What car for £1300 ?

Im selling / possibly scrapping my focus as it keeps breaking and I cant be bothered to fix it! its a shit colour shit spec etc tried selling it when it was MINT for 9 months and no one wanted it!

So i got £1500 to spend inc tax mot and a few months insurance.

So far ive looked at

Toyota Celica GT

MR2 GT

MR2 turbo with fucked HG.

Honda prelude 2.2 vtak.

Is there anything else I should be looking to buy ? Ideally want something already modified so i dont get tempted to spend more money on things I dont need!

I was looking for vr6's but cant find any in price range and they quite slow for the amount of fuel they sap.

BTW i need something im comfy in as a 22 stone 6ft8 person. I fit in an mr2 like a glove, and a mk3 golf. I dont fit in the focus the dash and speakers get in the way, and ive not tried a celica or a prelude yet!

For reference im 22 full license no crashes no speeding etc, the prelude was £550 a year FC inc roadside assistance, legal cover, and mileage upto 10k a year!

Many Thanks!

Yes, would agree with that. Look on the STOC. I prefer the ST24 to the ST 200.

seen celica gt4's for cheep money in the trade, one was a proper thing with no mot for 400 quid,i bet a turbo would cost more than the whole fookin car.
it had a few scratches and a cracked screen but the motor sounded great and there was no rust at all.

mr2 turbo with HG failure - dont!

can pick them up for cheaper than that these days and they dont have that many problems! GT4's are going cheap and are pretty nice drives.

prelude - watch for dreaded rot around the windscreen, boot under the number place and also back arches are a killer on them as well. roof seals around sunroof are prone to leaking as well after a while... but overall mechanically theyre sweet as a nut if looked after. 2.2 VTEC is the only one i'd even think about going for as the 2.0 is quick but not that quick.

celica GT - if its an early model look out for sills, doors at bottom, and again rear arches being rusted... engines are getting a bit rough on them as well on the earlier import models if not serviced regularly.
