Hi all

Tried replacing the air filter on my girlfriend's mk6 fiesta 1.4, it sits in a plastic box on top of the engine.

I've undone the 2 10mm bolts that are on top of the box, and there is 3 what feels like 8mm bolts underneath the box at the back. Do I have to undo these as well to be able to open the box? I cant even get my hand down there behind the box, let alone get a socket/spanner on these bolts....

Am I doing it right, or am I being a retard?

Na look at the back of the box mate, and there is 3 of these ball things that sit tight in rubber gromets. Just spray some wd40 on them and it will come out easy, with out breaking anythink.

 

Ok cheers mate, so it just lifts straight up? I did try pulling it a bit but it didn't want to budge, thought I was gonna break something!!

 

I've no Idea, but I thought I'd let you know, either way, you are still a 'tard.
