Default Phase sensor

How do you check if the phase sensor is set up properly on a 2wd saph as when i stripped the dizzy i just slapped it all back together now the car cuts out at 3k and think the sensor may be the fault

Make sure the sensor gap is correct 0.2mm to 0.3mm, often you might have to gently bend the basplate of the sensor so that it lines up square to the arm lobe, but never usually that bad.
Then when timing up, make sure the scribe mark on the dizzy body outer ring, exposed when cap removed is dead in the centre of the rotor arm alignment when sighted along it's path, easier to do than explain.
Make sure the connector is on the correct way in dizzy, but sure it wouldn't run if that was the case.

just checked my gap, its 0.15mm, should i bother regaping? what can go wrong running a smaller gap?

my rotor melted but think its due to running a MSD 6 amplifier?

why did ford go from an angled dizzy cap to a stright one, any advantages?

So long as there is a minimum gap of around 0.2mm on the closest lobe it's ok, if one has been clouted it may be a little further out so check on both lobes, but tbh 0.15mm will work fine.
The angles cap change was I believe to account for a slightly different plenum rear face, but not sure, on the 4wd.

"filtered", I don't know what this means, the only thing I can think of is whether it is suppresed or not, assume that's what they mean by "filtered", in which case you want filtered/supresed.
