"Around" 200bhp, prob mean 170-180, unless he has a rolling road graph to back it up.

But even so, will still be a little rocket with that engine in. DO IT!!

XR2s are RAPID with even 150ish bhp

might be a tad hard to drive tho with torque steer

A member on here Lewismk1 has a mk1 fiesta that used to have a 1700 burton crossflow in, around 160 ish bhp and that went like the clappers, mk1's weigh next to nothing, and a turbo engine isnt exactly the worlds heaviest engine, if its stripped out with a cage in and no rear seats it will go like fuck if its 200bhp, and as Jim said, being frontwheel drive in something so light it will be a bit of a fight through the gears with torquesteer, but in my opinion the fight through the gears will also be a lot of fun if you can manage it

Get it.

Mk1 XR2 are hard to find now in any guise - modified or standard. Is it a CVH or Xflow turbo?

Be prepared for some panel replacement though - as it probably will need some new panels to bring i up to scratch. But well worth doing as they hold their value pretty well nowadays.
