my driversside drive shaft decided to disintigrate on me earlier, having trouble getting it out, the cv joint cup doesnt seem to want to come out of the box, n e tips?

 

There is a clip holding it in you have to take the plate off the bottom of your front diff to get to it. Its worth checking your engine mounts while you are on as the drivers side mount is notorious for breaking leading to the front drivers shafts pulling out.

 

is that much of a job to change, been under to look yet....

 

Neither is a bad job to do tbh, engine mount can be a bit of a fiddle to do but if your half handy with a spanner you will be fine.

 

would that be the mount under the turbo refering that fucks up? lol

 

Do the drive shafts simply pull out ? or do you need somesort of a puller?

 

If you have take away the clip inside diff, it`s just to pull out

 

Yes mate thats the one, if your replacing its worth doing the pair with uprated ones vibratechnics or collins both do good quality uprated ones.

 

i was having the same problem with the d-s drive shaftnow i can sort it i also bought vibratechnics engine mount was told aswell they are far better worth the moneycheeRS guys
