Default Mobile insurance question???

If you lose your mobile - but have insurance - can you just get them to cancel your contract, instead of getting a replacement phone??

Anyone have any experience/ knowledge of this??

Because you have a contract with them and have to see it out. If you want to go with another network just go to cheapest monthly plan and see it out

Surely the insurance can pay off the contract, instead of a new phone?

It's my dongle thing I want rid of - it's shit!! And I don't want another one - dont need it anymore.

I would imagine the amount they pay for a phone will be shit loads cheaper than what your contract will cost to pay off.

Of course this is my opinion. There may be a loophole

You can cancel a contract whenever you feel like it. Usually have to give a month's notice.

Yes, usually you pay a termination fee which is basically all the months you have left to pay in one lump sum.
