A friend of mine picked up his green Focus RS today and im very impressed!
I swear pictures dont do them justice, looks absolutely awesome in the flesh! except for the rear bumper being a different green to the rest of it! typical ford.

 

ford have had problems with the paint, they will sort it if you say to them about it, im sure there was a thread on here somewhere about it !

 

yeah i read that i think, about the bumpers being plastic and very thin coat of paint on it. He doesnt seem that fussed tho, just wants to get it run in as hes big into his fords, has a few mk1+2 escorts and wants to see how the focus holds up performance wise. Only got 23 miles on the clock tho so hes got alot of running in to do!

 

Yep something to do with bumpers being done in a different factory. As long as it doesn't look too odd then it wouldn't bother me. How many miles does he have to run it in for? Guesstimate?

 

Do the first 1000 then a check over and oil change at dealership?? Thats what I had to do after running in my Impreza from new. Would assume most high performance stuff is similar??

M3's are like that as well aren't they?

 

yeah they said 1000 miles, then service. But hes done no end of egine rebuilds and what not, so he always says around a 1000 miles of normal driving, not to agressive, not to soft.
