dogged my box out today and i cant get the offside driveshaft out. i used all my levers and crobars but nowt. i even tried a brass knock stick through the box and hammered the shit out of it, but it hasn't even moved a mm. the box is out on the floor now, but i still cant get the shaft out so i can send the box away.


does anyone have any ideas? i'm thinking next thing is to tie one to a lampost and the other to my pickup tow hitch, then just drive off

 

get a pair of long nose pliers and semi wedge them in the gap,hit them with a hammer, if not a flat screw driver or a solid shaft thru the other shafts hole and bash it out this way

 

2 levers at once so you are putting equal pressure against 2 sides

 

ford had a big fork for releasing them equal pressure on each side is the way to go as said already

 

ok cool i'll try the two levers.

i was really stuck after it wouldn't come out even after i'd bashed it with a bar straight through from the other side.
