Question 200 block big turbo / small turbo question

Hello all

i ve a question

the 200 blocks used at small turbo engines and big turbo engines are slightly different.

but does the big turbo 200 block also have oil spray jets?

can the ones from the small turbo be adopted in case of just changing them without machine work?

or does the big turbo block have to be machined?

Please let me know if you have ideas.

thanks

ok thanks a lot.

the problem is my small turbo block is already on 2nd bore and for new pistons 3rd bore will have to be made, and don t think that is too good for power issues....

so i got a 200 block from a big turbo modell, which I want to put my small turbo head on, but get the nice spray jets from small turbo block

Anyone has the finis codes from the small turbo jets? or knows where to buy?

1 053 936 is part nr on st jets. Or you can use from zetec engine, Audi or BMW
If you are worried of the bore size, you can put liners in that block

putting liners in, is much more expensive then getting another block.

already sourced a block, with accralite pistons, rods and a crank !!

pistons are 91.00 mm, block is therefore frehsly bored and honed, standard rods, standard balanced crank

will put my small turbo head on with changed cams and GT30 Turbo, looking for not more than 450 hp

i m wanting an internally gated GT3076, can post the link later on, same was developed for M.A Developments....

double valve springs - check
6 long studs - can be done as soon as the block arrives, some headwork has already been done, new valves as well as bronze guides are here...

are JE Pistons that good? I heard of many fails. Accralite may be an alternative for you?

Pickup pipe is not the same, as on big turbo, the oil jets sits on a pipe welded to pickup, and it`s not the same oilpump.

I allready have je piston, it`s many big power cossies her whit them, don`t think thats a problem

but can the small turbo pipe be used, does it fit the big turbo pump?

as I want to get the big turbo block machined to get used of piston spray jets.

They ho are bended, is from Ford Zetec engine, other ones are from BMW and Audi.
If you use Zetec ones, the best is to heat them before bending

I'm also in the works to modify a 200 YBT block to take in those BMW Z3 spray jets.

Here are a few images of the jets:

Does anyone have more images of the modified blocks, as I don't have mine yet modded and would like to have some reference images.

where the jet sits there must be a plan or even area, it can be done with a simple driller or so.

get a machine shop to do this, as any faults may be very very expensive....

Got mine done already, so just thought I'd share the info.

Block was machined like this:

Pistons were free hand machined a bit to accept the Z3 jets:

Peekaboo:

The whole lot, nice and tidy:
