Default stripped....

... my escort out to dry all the carpet and underlay due to a dogy seal under the fuse box, now ive dried the underlay out best i can but i was tinking of leaving it out and just putting the carpet back in. Would this be ok or should i just put it back in?

Mines fully stripped out with just the carpet in.. had no probs.

yeah it wont cause any probs, except the carpet might feel "baggy" when you move your feet round on it.... do it you'll see what i mean

Ive used laminate flooring underlay.Doesnt offer much protection but stops the baggy feeling with a few layers and soundproofs a bit too.

i used some normal house underlay called cloud 9 even got a bit of the fire retardent type does wonders for sound too especially in boot
