Default Clutch Problem

Just wondered if you guys could help, my clutch is slipping slightly but only when the car is cold. Once the car has warmed up it never slips. It has an ap clutch that has been in about 18 months. The car doesn't do much milage as i only use it when the weather is good. Does it sound like the clutch is going or could it be something minor that needs a little tlc.

Any help is much appricated.

hi
as said do you have the right clutch adjusting mechanism for the ap clutch fitted if you have still got the part number for the clutch fitted check it against the ap web site and if all is right it could be a couple of things that spring to mind
1) slight weep from the crank seal behind flywheel and is getting on the clutch plate but is getting burnt off as you drive you could remove the inspection cover and have look but rub your finger around the edge of gearbox housing inside for oil or another contamanant
2)clutch itself may be just worn as was under rated for the car in the begining
3)clutch cable stretched and has not been working for some time correctly and fucked the clutch
4) when clutch was fitted was the flywheel skimmed as this will wear the clutch out quicker if it was scored
5)have you had the power increased lately and now to much for clutch to cope with
but i do think when you have the time whip the gearbox off and have a good look or put in the garage
lets us know thou
