Question XR4 driveshafts / half axles to Cossie Diff

Morning Guys,

I am building a Dax Rush Kitcar (Lotus 7 clubman type) with the (mandatory) Cossie running gear - incl. brakes, turbo engine, T5 gearbox, etc. The rear end is also from a cossie and includes the 7.5" diff rear axles, stubaxles, hub carriers, rear brakes - the works.

Lastnight I weighed each drive shaft incl. "joint" to bolt it to the diff & the joint + stub axle and almost fell over when I saw the weight of the parts...... they came in at a HUGE +/- 15kg PER axle...

Do you know how much lighter the XR4 shafts are and whether these will bolt to the Cossie diff & stub axles? Is the pitch of the 6 bolts the same?

Hope someone can shed some light on this matter?
