Default "Insulating Grease" - for use on spark plug insula

I seem to remember talk of putting a special insulating grease on spark plug ceramic insulators and the inside of sparkplug caps, to stop them tracking the HT to ground if the caps get a bit contaminated...

Anyone shed any light if this is true, and what the stuff is ??

You can get a silicon spray which is non-conductive and forms a kind of seal to prevent water ingress, maybe that, if not bttt for ya.
