Is it 100 percent 60mm. I've heard verious different size's now.
I called abc motorsport yesterday, to see if they would do the prop for me,according to fast ford magazine they are big in the rwd escort cosworth scene.
But they said they got it done by another company and said i'd be better off finding someone else to do it.... I couldn't even get an answer out of him on how much to remove as he couldn't remember. Chusdy!

That was the old owners of abc who built that rwd escoz so the new guys probably would not no ...
The answer to your questions is yes its 60 mm and its best to remove it from the front of the rear section if that makes sense..
If you get stuck send it to me ill shorten it for you ..
Hope this helps .

There is a thread in resto room but TBH its nothing special. Its got a few nice bits on it and it looks nice but thats about it not much to talk about really.
I'll update the post at some point with some arsing about pictures shortly.
Cheers
Dan
On another note if you make it 60mm shorter it makes it easier to get the prop on and off from the pinon on the diff.
Mine was made 55mm and is a bastard to get off

ive said it before.
if you find the output shaft from a granada automatic gearbox you do not need to touch your prop. it slips into the t5 and bolts onto the rubber donut

yes mate, that would great if you can. So I can check my figures. I'm going to a company in bexley heath, kent called J.w Engineering to get the work done and they want to know exact measurments. Measure twice and cut once and all that.

What shape granada?
I tryied using a scorpio granada prop I had sitting on the side and it was way too long.
Also can a 4wd prop be used?
Regards Aaron
ive done my conversion last month and taken 60mm out of the rear section and its Too f**king short and i'm now going to have a spacer made between the prop and diff.
to make the prop fit like it does on a standard to 2wd saph it would have to be shorten to 48mm on my escos but to give room i wish id shortened mine 52mm to be safe now mine simply is not in the gearbox far enough.

obviously this then bolts onto the standard rubber donut on your standard escos prop.
i will take a pic of the spare one i have and also the one fitted to my escos when i get it back from the painters
