Default Focus 1.6 Ztec SE Crank Pulley Totque Setting

After using wrong torque setting for crank shaft pulley twice!! Yes a right pain in time and cash. Does anyone know the torque setting for the crank pulley on this engine. It must be tight as no woodruff key just free floating pulley.

Cheers DelBoy

Done mine today,a bit fiddly as you said (no wood ruff key)
115NM,same torque setting as the wheel nuts.
Don,t do what i did and forget to put the small crankshaft cover on before the pulley.I hope you used a new 18mm bolt.

I think the ones you using to find TDC will bend - that looks a specific tool for locking it though.

yes your right OldDan, thats for setting TDC. I was wondering if they jammed the flywheel or something whilst they undid the crank bolt.

Starter motor out and lock the flywheel with a screw driver, you will need some one to hold the screwdriver.I used the AUTODATER TIMING BELT BOOK and it says in there 115nm and a new crankshaft pulley bolt will be needed.
