Default Cossie front pulley ?

Removed my engine today cos its a littlie tired.
found the crank pulley (the one that the aux belt goes round) had about 10 mm of play . The bolt was real tight so duno why this has happened. Is it a fairly commom problem?
No wonder the car has been running shite recently crank sensor signal will have bin all over the place

The washers where on. Not shure what you mean by belt to tight m8 ? belt is self tentioning?
Or do you maen cam belt ? if so the small pulley behind the front one drives the cam bilt and thats fine

Thats on a woodruff key aint it??... That alright? I know the key (poking out the crank) can wear... Oh and BTW, those crank pulleys are about a ton from Ford mate... I know cos I had to buy a new one

Normal problem is that the crank bolt isn't tight enuff and causes chatter that wears the woodruff slot bigger.....sometimes even wears the crank as well

I got a new 1 too, as there seemed to be a lot of play. Turned out the Nose had snapped off the crank

You can have my old 1 if you like, it's kicking about in the garage somewhere

make sure it is just the pulley and not the crank floating due to worn thrust bearings!
