standard smoked ? do you mean the standard red rear clusters with tint spray. These are the proper smoked rear units, same make as the clear type ones.

This started life as a 1.6.

now Full engine rebuild - Mondeo 2.0 Zetec 16v, Polished & Ported Head, Kent Fast Road Cams, Vernior Pulleys, remap, FSE Power Boost Valve, 4-2-1 Racing Manifold & Decat, 4" Powerflow Exhaust, Custom Samco K&N Induction Kit.

Still lots of work to do yet though

thanks for all the comments

ah, iam with you now mate. The car had lexus lights when i got it and my old si that was scrapped had the smoke ones, so to avoid having to buy more lights i chose the smoked over lexus. Maybe something to change in the future though, got other things to do first.

Yes, i have to say, not a dent or a patch of rust on it and when your a ford owner thats something to be proud off LOL.

also iam very carfeul when parking in retail carparks etc, i park furthest away so some idiot doesnt fling there door open and leave dents on my door. drives the misses mad though, cause shes got to walk further, lol

thanks. got loads more to do yet. got the RST bonnet and cossie si bib spolier in the garage that need spraying, get more chrome under the bonnet, sound system, cream leather interior, light winow tint, then on to getting more power out of it, either throttle bodies or turbo conversion.

Received this today (Not the rail)

Fitted in perfect. Just needed to blank off the swirlpot pipe with a bit of universal silicone hose, bolt and 2 hoseclips.

Just needs all the other water hoses, water rail, polished inlet and sort out the horrid looking carpet at the back

Default small update - new engine carpet

Just a small update. Picked up another engine carpet from a FSI at the breakers for a couple of quid as mine was knackered. Got some Dylon black velvet dye mixed a small amount with water and brushed it on and let it soak and dry to give it a nice even dark colour. Looks loads better then the old one.

Today i just put on the RST bonnet and cossie splitter for size. Bonnet needs small dent taken out and front line and hole welded and smoothed. Cossie splitter needs abit of fibreglass repair, then both off to be sprayed. Think it makes the front end loads better once its colour matched.

Well after 6 weeks the samco's finally arrived, so i pulled out all the old hoses and got to work. Iam telling you the hose to the water pump and the one under the upper manifold were fooking hard to get off  Also put in the stainless water rail and it looks so much better !

CURRENT STATE

PREVIOUS PICS

Improvement over its previous state as pictured

And much better then standard as demonstated by my old Si (except K&N)

Conversions on these are fairly easy if your good at that sort of thing. Yes they seem to go well, add a decat, 4-2-1 manifold, kent cams and a remap and they go even better, would see off a fiesta ST

the loom in the 1.6 is the same, but yeah you need the 2.0 maf and ecu there are about 6 different codded ones that you can use (deep, dewy, desk etc). if i could find a solid 1.6 shell again i would do this swap straight away but alas they all seem to be rotters or massively over priced.
