Default Electric garage doors?

Ive just about done my double garage and want to fit a electric opener to one of the doors, anyone know anything about them? wickes had stopped selling them

buy german
the best quality out there and a nice silent motor

i used to have a chamberlain but it was far too noisy
the new one is quiet and will reverse in direction if it hits anything

I wish I didn't have one, took years to fit and winds me up lol, can't store anything down the side of the garage as the arms for the door are about ten times longer!

try a reputable garage door company ...i fiited a roller type which is super silent and reinforced....best thing i would say!

I fitted one years ago for someone, didnt have any extra bits on the arms or sides!
All it had was a motor which mounted on the roof of the garage in the middle of the door, then a long track which had a screw inside that turned. Then the bit you put on the top of the garage door pulled back on it and opened the door when the motor was running.
Piece of piss to fit and took no room up atall

I have a Cardale one which is cool never had any probs with it well until it stopped the other week connectors dirty that will teach me not to service it in 2.5 years bit of grease squirt of WD40 and good as new
