Just stopped in a line of traffic at the end of a dual carriageway and was hit from behind by a Fiat punto travelling at 70Mph,pushed me under a flatbed truck totally destroying my van which is now about 3 feet long !!
Had my 14 year old son with me and his seat back snapped in the impact.
mine was saved from snapping by the metal cargo bars behind my seat,which also stopped my tools from decapitating me !!
Impact was so bad it pushed me and the truck over 80 Feet and into another vehicle in front.....
Fiat was driven by 17 year old girl who had not long passed her test,think she got distracted and did not see the traffic backed up in front of her,she was absolutely gutted and was so upset she fainted,but thankfully despite various injuries(none too bad luckily)everyone will be ok...
Felt gutted for the young girl,she was in very bad shock thinking she had hurt people badly so hope she is ok and doesn`t let it put her off too much....accidents happen after all,tried to tell her it was ok but she was in bits....
Thanking my lucky stars now,...seeing the wreckage afterwards im just thankfull everyone will be ok coz it could have been MUCH,MUCH worse..

it might not hurt for a few days, take it easy cos i had a big accident and after 2 days i was in a lot of pain and couldnt drive for 2 weeks.

now im suing the bastid.

Thanks for the concern guys,was in A+E till 1.30 am gettin X-rays and stuff and they were checkin why i had an irregular heartbeat(prob just the shock of the smash)so apart from blunt force trauma(whatever that is )and some whiplash and soft tissue damage,we should both be ok thankfully.......

will try and get some pics of the wreckage later when i go to the compound where it is............

Sittin here 24 hours after the crash and thinkin to myself how i used to think people involved in crashes were always playing it up to justify going for compo............Well now i know they aint playin it up !!!!!......feels like someone is trying to tear me apart from the inside out,feel like i`ve been playin no rules rugby against Jonah Lomuh for about 2 hours!!!!!!...........it hurts !!!
Only realised today that i have broken my nose as well(the cartelidge bit on the end).................And i know the little guy is in pain as well but he is putting a brave face on it.......
Oh well,keep taking the tablets as they say....

Glad you and your son are OK mate. Top marks for not losing your cool with the culprit too.

My wife was hit up the rear while stationary only 2 or 3 weeks ago and from nothing like that speed and she is still in a lot of pain. So i have some idea what you are or will be going through. Looks like her ERST will be a "write off" too.

Not good pal, not good. I only know too well from recent expirience what it is like to be involved in a proper RTA and it ain't nice I'll tell ya - as you know!
