Side of the sump, about the in between the 3rd and forth vane in if i remeber right.

I havent got any pics unfortanatly.

Ensure your return is big enough, needs to be at least 1/2 inch

yeah i got a 1/2inch bulkhead fitting so hopefully that'll be ok, i can always go bigger if need be!

Do you mean between the 3rd or 4th vane in from the front or the rear (chain side or gearbox side)

cool, are you sure it's below the oil level? i always thought they were gravity drained therefore would need to be above the oil level to allow it to flow back in?! i could be completely wrong but to me that would make sense

had a look at getting the sump off tonight when there was still a bit of light.. it looks like i may need to lower the anti-roll bar?! is that all i need to do to get it out or what.. i can always lift the engine up if need be!

You will need to support the engine and drop the cross member down to get it off due to the angle

When you put it back on watch the back as the sump gasket can crease up and you will have a oil leak, use a very very small ammount of silicone, ensure none goes into the sump. they can be a bit of a shit to get them off the gearbox end

yup, cheers, i was planning on using a little silicone on the outer edge so none goes into the oil and clogs up a gallery.

Can i not just lift the engine up and slide it off the gearbox a tad as well? would that give me enough space to get the sump off without lowering the cross-member?
