Met up with some very good friends Matt & Lorraine (Guzzler & Sassy) at their lovely house, their boys Chase & Finlay had an Easter egg hunt with Matt and myself hiding eggs all over the garden for them to find, and then Lorraine did a smashing bit of dinner which went down a treat. A very pleasant afternoon and really nice to catch up with some friends who I don't see anywhere near enough of.

then, without going into a longwinded explanation of how it came about, my ex who I split up with very recently tells me she has started seeing someone else and is away with him this weekend.

I'm struggling a bit right now.

To be fair to her (and it really goes against the grain to say this) she wasn't mate - as I said I'm not going into semantics, but she wasn't rubbing my nose in it. I suspected she was seeing someone else after we split anyway (and she wasn't seeing anyone when we were together, that I do know) so it came as no surprise, but to have it confirmed is a bit of a kick in the nuts.

 

why did she feel the need to tell you so soon after you splitting up if it wasnt giving her some sort of kick? women are devious like that.
my mates ex still plays games like that even though he kicked her into touch 3 years ago. except my mate really doesnt care.

 

That's a fair point.......and I don't have an answer for you fella. Maybe you're right.......

 

Sorry to hear it - that sort of thing has happened to us all. Took me from feeling top of the world to feeling like I wanted to puke in 5 seconds flat. In time it all settles down.

I recommend a bunch of really bad rebound affairs that have no chance of lasting whatsoever, however they are like a hurdle you need to jump on your way to the rest of yours days (the way I see it anyway).
