anyone know what the prices are like at the moment for scrap cats and batteries ?

 

crap, having trouble giving away batteries, cats are about £10 here in sussex

 

oh well , looks like i going sit on them a bit longer

Cats in glasgow are going for £16 atm depending on where you go, up here batteries are going for fuck all, like 3 quid each, a few months ago i was getting 10 quid a battery, iv got alod stockpiled up for when the prices go back up

 

Couple of weeks ago I got £25 a cat and £7.50 for 5 car batterys.

 

Got £25 a cat yesterday in suffolk and £156 for a old mazda pick up it was full of scrap weighed just over 2 ton, I wieghed in at nearly 5 and half ton i think that was my range rover towing my heavy duty trailer with the mazda on the back.

 

like said suffolk/norfolk is about £25-30 for cat and about £4 for battery

 

Was talking to someone fri,scraps going up £20 next week,and will be higher than last year before christmas

 

Anyone know if GEL type batterys are wanted by scrap yards too?
I dont care if i get anything at all for them.. just want them gone!

£35 a cat round here. Batteries, not a lot.

Before the crash you could get upto £70 a cat. They did go right down to about £15, but starting to rise again now. I've got about 15 of them, but gonna hold fire a bit longer before I weigh them in
