Default Boot floor

Has anyone on here had to weld their boot floor, where the chassis rails run underneith?
I had a good poke at mine today and poked a hole about 1"wide by about 4" long. The rest seems solid.

Hope its not destined for the scrap heap!

The rest seems ok. Battery tray etc. seem fine. The car has had a lot of work in the past. New sills, doors, wings etc. Looking under the car it seems it has been under sealed all the way back to in front of the rear axle.

Looks pretty tidy you will have to repair your boot floor by cutting all the rust out of the area and weld some new metal in. this isnt unheard of my friend

Just a bit of panic setting in I swapped a mint 2.0 16v Nova for it that was my pride and joy. I do like my retro cars and like them to be clean as possible!

Ive just been and had a GOOD poke around under the car and it all seems good. Panic over. It is 21 years old I suppose. Ill get it repaired and underseal the back end and wax oil all the chassis rails. That should see it right for a bit. Its only a stop gap as next summer ill be selling it for a saphire cossie fingers crossed.

easily sorted and it's all out of the way, so you could even put of painting it in the right colour if you were a little strapped.
