Hello all, first post on here, looks a great site

been racin mondeos now for a while and want to spend abit of money on an engine for racing, i run with carbs on them,

whats the best way to go about getting some more horse power out of them? cams?which ones? what else would help

Do you mean carbs as in carbs, or tb's, which for some odd reason some call bike carbs!!
If it is carbs, then headwork would be needed for serious power, what are you doing about the ignition side as this is just as important as the fuelling that it has the correct ignition curve.

I would go with a 40DFI carb, lots of porting work, good skim high comp pistons, lighten balance, you could put in some decent cams, but all this is a total waste of time if using a standard ignition curve, you will just be using lots of petrol to not get very far.
It at the very least needs adjustable igntion.
