Default Powder coating a fuel tank

Can it be done? I was told the heat from the process would damage the insides of the tank, anyone heard of this? Suppose the only other alternative is to spray it with stone chip then something on top?

Correct cant be powder coated but can be wet painted

isnt there a plastic swirl pot?just get a new one mate and get it painted.thats what i did
