could anyone please help what is a 200 motorsport block? as some say it is lighter than common 200 block,

 

maybe you heard something about the "new" (for 2 years or so) Mountune Blocks, made from Aluminium with Liners....

for sure these blocks are a lot lighter than the old fashioned steel blocks.....

 

There is a block of which is indicated as a MOTORSPORT Block on EBAY but its CAST IRON, so.....

 

It probably is modified with blanked out distributor outlet, one oil exit where the oilfilter usually sits, larger hole where the oil pressure sensor sits for oil return and larger holes for the enginemount bolts.

horrible english i know.. there may be other modifications aswell
