Default escort van 99 t plate

hi all maybe you can help ? i own said van but cant seem to work out if i should have a glow plug light , i have looked at every van i have been able to ask and they all have the light but my one has a red light where there one is i have to wait for the click , is this normal?????

urs mite of been a petrol at 1 point or have a early diesel engine fited

Just have a look at the engine to see if it has glow plugs, assuming it's diesel of course!!
If you have glow plugs you should have a light, usually orange though.

i checked the history it has always been a endura de but thinking clocks could of come from a petrol at some time can i run a new light ??

Yes no probs, if you take the clock set out, you will see some symbols/lights that are not used, you could simply use one of these, may not be the right colour, but still a light, you will know hat it's for, trace the track on the rear of the clock set to see which one you need to tap into, the glow light wire will already be there in the connector so it would be easier to se where this one is going, maybe it is just in a different position and the bulb has blown ?
take all the bulbs out the rear of the clock and hold it up to the light to see if one ois glow plug symbol and start from there.
If all else fails could simply run a wire straight from glow plug relay.

thanks mate i will pop the clocks out this weekend and let you know , i can tell ya that where the glow plug light is meant to be my one is red but cant tell the symbol untill i hold it up to the light
