Hi there,

i need red or red/white taillights for my Mk4 XR3i but I can't find a shop for them. red/white I've seen here on several cars - red ones I've seen in a Shop in the 90s.
Can anyone help ?

 

I think the ones youve seen that are red and clear are just clear ones with bits masked off and painted red i dont think any where sell them new

 

Yes get some clears and mask off and spray ,that what i did

So I have to try the same - german TÜV won't be happy about that...

its easy mate.u cant really tell theyve been done by urself,lots of people think u can buy them

At least recieved a left white taillight for testing.
Can anyone post some detail pics of selfmade red/whites ?

Hi,
the Escort is a 90's XR3i and different from the US Escort.

 

...and as the clear taillights weren't very popular in germany, you can't find them here.
At german junkyards every car that is older 15 years (except Mercs, BMW, Audi and VW) are scrapped immediately. The last Escort from 80-90 I've seen on a junkyard was about 4-5 years ago.
