as above really,when playing a dvd you put it in and it comes up with what do you want to play it on. you click on media player and it starts as if its going to play it then pops up with :- "audio format is not supported by the current application.would you like to playback with acer arcade"
i think it is media player 11. acer arcade is its own media player. if you carry on and use windows media player it plays the film but you get no sound.
any ideas?

 

You used to have to have a dvd decoder to play dvds with windows media player...

I dont know if that is sttill true.

If it is then you then something like power DVD

if you play it with acer arcade does the sound work then?

I would definately get some free dvd software off the net Try www.Download.com.

yes it works fine with acer arcade,i just wondered why i have no sound on media player but i do have sound with media player on my big computer.
