was told by someone in burtons not to bother with any other leads than ford as they are overkill unless your running 350 plus bhp. still bought magnacore but that was his advise>

Genuine Ford. Magnecore leads are a nice and shiny waste of £60+

Thats what I run on mine. They cost me about £15 I think. Infact I'm about to throw another set away because at that price, I can replace them often.

Your old leads were knackered then. There is no benefit whatsoever with the Magnecor leads bar the big dent in your wallet

....and the plugs will probably fall off too, as they do with any aftermarket leads I have ever come across.

they looked quite new(the ones that were replaced).just threw them away tho,so they dont provide a bigger spark then by being bigger?

Erm...... No. There is no benefit to them whatsoever over a set of £15 Bosch or OE leads

With larger leads, it's generally the outer cover that is larger, in theory it provides greater insulation against heat and interference, but I've never seen the benefit and when you weigh it up against their unreliability, it's genuine Bosch for me!!

AFPMSL. I am aiming towards having it at Central Day. It is likely to be honest. Not sure if I will be running it though. Will be nice to use it, it's been years since I have just been able to take it to an event.

Snap mate, Went to my mums the other day and rolled mine out the garage. It last turned a wheel in anger when I took it up to my place just after we moved in. That would be Spring '07
Had trouble finding the urge to get on with it but I've got a few ideas now of where I want to take it next so it's just a case of time and money.
