why would you be ?
taking driving lessons when you already have a licenece bloke over the road from me has be driving around for the last 10 years but was seen getting out of a learners car the other day i dismissed it said must be someone else but today seen it myself so unless he lost his licence why else would he be driving a learners car
oh and he got out the learners car went indoors then come out drove off in his own car

Maybe he only has an automatic licence? Is he an old boy? Might need to resit his test, or maybe the doc has sent him for a re-test due to poor health/vision etc..
Or maybe he's learning to be an instructor? or is doing an advanced driving course etc etc...

but would ya take an advance driving test 10 years down the line if not longer ?
fellas only 20 summing is a sparkie by trade so sort of saying im sure hes not guna become a driving instructor
we talk but not like best friends or anything if im working on my car he stops to chat n stuff hes still driving so sort of assuming he aint banned and stuff not that ya would go shouting about it or anything if ya would ask people only tell ya what they want ya to know so

He's never had a licence and is now going legal.
He's come out of being banned and has to retake his test.
He's taking a refresher course, something everyone should do after 7 to 10 years.
He's going for an advanced test of some sort.
He's training to be an Instructor.
He's going from Auto to manual licence.
He's on a foreign licence and only just found out (or has been caught) he should have taken a U.K test.
He's been on a driving assessment with his company and failed and has been asked to take lessons.
His mate is an Instructor and is giving him a lift home.
