Default Co2 Adjustment Sensitivity S2 Turbo

How sensitive is the CO2 adjuster on an S2 metering head?
It seems that if i tweak mine the tiniest amount the car will run very badly and/or stop and then wont start Is the metering head goosed?
I havent been pissing about with it for no reason BTW, the adjuster/spring loaded allen key was seized so i had to free it off before taking it for tuning but i'm bothered i might need a new metering head first
