clutch change and abs question.help please!!!
im going to change my clutch on my s2 for a 4 paddle,plan is to remove abs but im not doing it just yet,need to get a clutch fitted asap and quickly.
ive done clutch changes before but the cars havent had abs on them.how do i pull shafts out of gearbox with abs belts on? would they need loosening or something?

Just looked in the haynes "failure" manual and the modulator as the call it has a couple of bolts to loosen and and it will release the belt. Just pull the shaft out then and the belt will be free then. If you save it you can always sell it as alot of people want these sort of bits.

Its a bit awkward getting the belts off, you have to loosen off the abs modules which is 3 17mm nuts on each and then its still quite tight to get them off. But if your goning to get rid of your abs anyway then just cut them
