Default speed limiters

one of my customers has a fleet of transits and wants to limit the speeds to say 80mph, does anyone know of any companys that make them? cant seem to find anything!

will pm you 2morro with the comany we use numbers at work we hav had sum limted to 62 mph p.s there are new say 07 onwards

Do a U-drive and wind the throttle back so revs at 80 in top are max in any gear

if they are new transits they can be limited from a ford dealership using diag equipment.no extra items needed just limited from main brain of van(bcmii,gem module,central junction box)so many titles for it lol

As stated if theyre the newest shape transit a ford dealer can do it through central car config.

i think it's a 60, 70 or no restriction

Limits are 55, 60, 70 and unrestricted IIRC.

on some of the vans no limit is 100mph,, mine is set to no limit yet limited to 100!!

the older ones were 75 but think some off the newer ones are 70

im currently limiting the vans at my work to 70, (im a royal mail mechanic) you can do the current shape mk7 and the shape before mk6, its a piece of piss using ids computer bout 5-10mins work no extra parts needed part from the stickers we put on the back of course.

I was gonna say the same.The Ford diagnostic computer has this option on to put a speed limiter on the vans.

Im a royal mail mechanic too mate.I work at the favordale site in darlington.Ive only been there since december 2008.

my transit (85/280) has hit 105 on the gps and some of the connects (90 brake) have seen 115 on the gps

on the straights with a very long run and in the middle of the night admitidly
