Hi guys, had my series 1 sitting in the garage for 18months and have decided to do the few odd jobs and get it out in the summer, car needs a good tune up as running rich and tickover way to high.

Problem i have is when engaging 4th gear it crunches, the gears also feel very sloppy does the box need a rebuild?

 

Sloppy sounds more like the linkage ?

 

Thanks mate, I swapped the linkage and its still the same, any ideas about the crunching of 4th?
