my headlamp and fog lamps are a bit tired looking , the glass is dull because of years of stone chips , is the a product for re coating glass or specific polish or is it just a case buy new when they come up . just a little thing which annoys me when i've cleaned my car .

Cant get rid of the stone chips but a good machine polish can brighten dulled ones up again.

I took my old ones apart and cleaned the lense inside and the reflector, re assembled and machine polished and it made them look brighter. Along with new bulbs they looked brighter in the dark too

 

Brighter in the dark eh.I must admit my lights are poo in the dark.

 

Yep sapphire ones come to bits. Just be carefull with the metal clips that hold the lense on I nearly put my eye out clipping it back together.

The clip on the opposite side shot off and hit me in the forehead and left me with a little cut!

The Mrs was laughing at me for days.....
