ok, my s2 is a converted 1.3 pop, and when it was 1st built, i didnt bother with the central locking, leccy windows etc, so was never an issue
but now iv delocked the doors, i need central locking. still dont want the leccy windows, just the central locking
now i have an rs loom fitted, but people tell me there shud be something like 3 plugs down by each speaker pod for the door looms to plug into. my loom is laid in the car, and i have literally nothing except a door switch wire going to the passenger side, a couple of random plugs drivers side, but basically nothing like im told i should have. and yet theres no obvious cuts to the loom either, so not like anything has been crudely removed.
does it all operate off a sub-loom, plugged in somehwere, and then branching off down to each footwell area?
if so, anybody know where this sub-loom would plug in exactly? im guessing the couple of plugs i can see spare in my loom, but thats pure guess
if this isnt the case, isnt an option, blah blah, how would i go about wiring this up myself? just central locking like. i have the motors and stuff for the doors, just no wiring to speak of.
any help would be massively appreciated, as im holding off fitting my dash until its resolved
ps, i also need this to link to my clifford concept 100 alarm system, but 1 step at a time

you should have the wires in the door the looms that go through the doors to the shell and then seperate ones to link the sides together which the plug into the main loom lookat the wires around the fuel pump thick there is a black plug with a blk/yel and r/yel wire going in to it and the earths screw to the body with the others in that area

near to my relays on the drivers side bulkhead area, i do have this black plug with the blk/yel r/yel (pretty sure thats it) wires going to it, pretty heavy duty lookin wires too, so figured they wud b powering something substantial
is this where the sub-loom joins the main loom then yeh?
if so, i can just try and pick up a sub loom off someone with a loom removed i guess, good times

the looms are the same in most top spec escorts ie turbos 3i's ghia's etc best finding stuff from a turbo though as the looms that go through to the doors have ires for windows locks and mirrors
you have the main loom then you get 3 separate looms one for electric mirrors one for central locking and one for electric windows each of these looms plug into the main loom mate failing all esle take some pics of loom by relay area inside car of any lose connecttions and ill tell you where each plugs in mate

well the good news is my mate phil isnt using these bits of loom for his RS converted bonus track car, so iv been round, got the loom out, and separated these 3 sections and made them my own, so gonna go and hopefully get them plugged into my loom in a bit, fingers crossed all the connecting plugs are fine on my existing loom, otherwise im simply going to give up and hit things
1 thing i have noticed is these sub-looms dnt have any relays built into them, i would have thought these wud need relays of some description, so are they in the fuse box or sumthin?

they plug in behind the dash there the fuel computer would be.
there will be three, one for mirrors, c/locking and windows. yellow, red and black iirc. they do plug into sub looms like you said and go across the dash to either door. i'm having a right pig of a job getting electric window racks and motors.
there dont seem to be many mk2 orions or mk4 escort 4 door ghia's at scrappys anymore

ok, after hours of comparing wiring to haynes manual wiring diagrams, iv successfully removed the electric window, electric mirror wiring, and somehow iv ended up takin my mates fuel computer sub-loom too, so thats removed too lol
so i now have just the central locking wiring plugged in and run to either door.
i hate wiring looms. even had me confused on the central locking loom wondering wot the extra massive wire run was......then i realised cars have boots have boots have locks, locks that also run off central locking
now, on to working out how to make my clifford alarm lock and unlock my central locking motors
somebody kill me now please!!
