Rigth guys, just thought I would show you some pics of my new toy!

2008 Yamaha Raptor 700 SE3
fitted with a 2008 YZF R1 engine

I bought it last week off a guy down in canvey islands, he bought it brand new, had it shipped to a company in Derby called 'superquads' and they carried out the conversion which consists of :-

Brand new crate engine,
R1 wiring loom and clocks,
custom exhausts with carbon cans,
Headllight conversion,
large alloy radiator,
samco hoses,
new R1 carbs as the throttle bodies are too large to fit in the frame,
Pipercross induction kit,
Douglas red label wheels,
+4" swinging arm,
wider a arms,
225/40R10 rears, 205/45R10 fronts
custom frame work all powder coated to perfection

once the guy had it back he only did 190 miles on it and decided that it was a bit too lively for him...
Hence I get rid of the M3 pretty pronto when I saw it up for sale!

she is a bit dirty at the min and in pieces! so once I have finished polishing the exhausts and moving the rear plate and lamp in to a better position I will yake some more pics of it..

yeah she is fully road legal! raptor turbos are cool, but this takes the piss! dynoed at 160bhp, I have personally seen 160 on the clock, lifts the front wheels in 4th, it is so hard to describe how it rides but it is so smooth and controllable!
the grip levels are immense due to tyres and swing arm too..

Private smaller plate is on now and looks so much better

still running in at the moment, the engine has done 340 miles now carbs have been re jetted to suit later engine and the exhausts, no other mods.. The guy who builds them claims a guaranteed minimum of 158 bhp..

might sound a lot but once you ride it you cant get enough of it! you end up staying out for hours. lol..

 

i can imagine i went on a raptor 700 and that was fun but i bet that is unbelieveable....

 

i bet thats a right weapon 10k sounds like a good price imo... go easy on it mate as much fun as they are there not the nicest things to come off

Yeah cheers mate, I have already learnt the hard way more than once! I used to do a lot of track racing on a Banshee (2 stroke)...

and yeah... it does fookin hurt!

yeah its quick! I have had R1 bikes in the past and to be honest this feels quicker because you can keep the front down easier than a bike and this grips like fook, the rear tyres are soft as wine gums when warm..
