Well after 7 months being unemployed, I start today as a Security guard at the Potteries centre, Hanley, in Stoke on Trent!!

As i cant sleep i decided to keep polishing my boots. They rung yesterday and said could i wear steel toe capped boots, which i have from navy, which kind of spoiled my plans as id polished my shoes to a high standard. My navy boots were scraped and have craters in the leather.

Several hours later and a bit of cheating filling the holes with raw polish and melting it in with a heat gun and im kind of happy with them. Not quite glass look, like parade shoes, but good enough for now and in a few weeks the polish build up should totally fill all the dents.


My shirt and trousers have nice crisp creases in all the right places so hopefully i will be neat enough for thier expectations!!

As i will be working a split of days between the car park and the shopping areas I have to have the steel toe boots!!

Its only £7ph but its better than minimum wage and the hours im doing means i will get on average £1000 a month after tax which is very welcome!!!

Just need to keep the job pay off my bills and then start sinking money into my car in typical ford owner style

Yeah its the main shopping centre in Stoke on Trent's city centre.
You sound like mk1escoz4x4 I have my 4D maglite for a reason and it aint shining light in dark places (ive got smaller torches for that) plus im learning the camera black spots

I work a mix of car park and retail security so i get to issue parking tickets too
I wish



Its really easy work and, for the area, is ok pay (£7 ph ), min wage is the norm round here.

Yes but its painfully slow as having been a officer in the Navy doesnt count as management experience so i have to do all the GAY nvq's and stuff.

I wont be there long enough either. Its to tie me over till uni.
