i need some help, i've just stripped my rear shafts down to paint and fit new boots. When i pulled the old boots back i found both outer cv joints are f**ked , they've worn oval on the edge the boot secure's too. Is this a common fault? and where can i get some new ones from, any help would be great.

 

Ford did them up to about 2 yrs ago, dont know if they still do. worth a try.

 

Easy to come by new, driveshaft uk for example or reco prop.

brown brothers in torquay do them mate.. up near ford might have changed name now but still their... a mate did all 4 on the back from their im sure around 50 quid each tho...
