Default Ripped the driveshaft bolts out the 3DR today

Coming off a roundabout on the way home from donnington and nailed the 3DR, back came out proper good but all of a sudden there was loads of banging and i had lost all drive to the car.
Pulls over and looks like 3 of the bolts have sheared off the diff where the driveshaft joins it But the others are fine

RAC'd home and will sort it in the week

On my old Saph (400 BHP Bailey engined), did some proper launches once and I snapped the front diff casing clean in half - it made loads of banging noises...but the car drove ok (ish)......Steve Scott took one look at it and said "F**KING ANIMAL"

Shit! Sorry to hear that!

My O/S engine mount sheared off and ripped both my front driveshafts out and shattered the cv joints and cut massive chunks out of my crossmember! Guess thats another good reason to own RWD..... I have heard of props and centre driveshafts cutting holes in floorpans and rolling cars too though! OUCH!

Perhaps it was the glue in the tiger stripes holding the bolts in

As said, the 3 that are intact have come loose and the others have sheared due to your right foot, but then if they hadn't sheared you wouldn't have known the others were loose....

The little bits should almost wind out with your finger tips to be honest as there is no tension on them anymore.

I have some left handed drill bits for things like this, just in case they grab and wind out the threads!

Buy some really good quality Torx bits too tiff - the bolts are made of chocolate, and will round off at the first chance they get - replace all the bolts while you are on

Well done, you'd obviously been giving it some abuse then!
Hope it's not too much of a headache to fix.
